01 · The payload

Encoded payload
A contact code needs a name — add a first or last name.

The code waits until the payload above is complete.

02 · The style

Sits in the center, 40% of the code’s width
The guards
  • Contrast is comfortable — the code reads at a glance.
  • Quiet zone is at the spec's four modules.
  • No logo, so nothing covers the modules.

The guards are rules of thumb, not a spec — the in-tab scan is the proof.

Compose the payload above — the code is waiting.

The guide

How to make a QR code for your contact details

  1. Step 1

Fill in your name and whichever of phone, email, company and website you want to share.

  2. Step 2

Style it with your colours and a logo. The tool scans its own output to confirm it still reads.

  3. Step 3

Export PNG or JPEG for print, or SVG when there's no logo, and put it on a business card, badge or email signature.

A vCard QR code holds a contact card in the standard vCard format. Scanning it with a phone camera offers to save you to contacts, with every field already filled in.

Unlike many QR generators, there's no link to a hosted profile page in between. The details are in the code itself, so there's nothing to expire, no subscription and no scan tracking.

Questions

What is a vCard QR code?

A QR code containing a contact card in vCard format. Phones read it and offer to add the contact.

Can I update the details later?

Not in the same code — the details are stored in it. A static code also means it can never break or start showing someone else's page.

How much can I fit?

More fields make a denser code. The tool shows how full the code is and warns before it gets hard to scan at small sizes.

Is my information uploaded?

No. The code is made in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored.
