CapyInvoice · tool no. 17
.
The same document as an invoice, with “Valid until” in place of a due date.
Open the template, fill in the work, the prices and a valid-until date, and download it as a PDF your client can read — free, in your browser.

Stored in this browser only. Your invoice — and your client's — never leaves this tab. There is no account and nothing to upload it to. Clearing your browser data deletes the draft, so use JSON backup to keep or move it.

Line amounts are quantity × unit price. Any discount is applied before tax and spread across the lines in proportion to their amounts. Tax is calculated on each line at the line's own rate and rounded half up to the smallest unit of GBP. Free, unlimited, unwatermarked: the document is yours, so the download always is too.
The guide
How to fill in a quote template
- Step 1
The document kind is already set to Quote. Fill in From and To, and the lines with quantities and unit prices.
- Step 2
Set the “valid until” date instead of a due date, and add terms if you use them — payment terms, revisions, expiry.
- Step 3
Download the PDF. When the client accepts, switch the kind to Invoice and the same document becomes the invoice.
A quote and an invoice are the same shape of document — parties, line items, a total — wearing different words. CapyInvoice prints “Quote” and “Valid until” where an invoice says “Invoice” and “Due”, and leaves the payment rows off the quote entirely.
Prices work the same way as on an invoice: per-line tax at each line's own rate, an optional percent or fixed discount, and amounts held as integers of the currency's smallest unit so nothing rounds astray.
When the job is accepted, the quote becomes the invoice with one click, keeping every line you priced.
Questions
Does the quote show payment details?
You can keep them in — they print under the totals — but a quote carries no amount-paid or balance rows. Those appear when you switch the document to an invoice.
Can I turn the quote into an invoice?
Yes — switch the kind from Quote to Invoice at the top and the same document becomes one, keeping the lines, parties and totals. Update the number and the due date before sending.
Is the template really free?
Yes, with no signup and no watermark. It runs in your browser and nothing you type is uploaded.
