CapyInvoice · tool no. 17
.
The same careful totals as an invoice, minus the due date.
Enter what was paid, the amount and the date paid, and download a receipt as a PDF — free, in your browser, with nothing uploaded.
Updated · by Unfolding Dimensions
Stored in this browser only. Your invoice — and your client's — never leaves this tab. There is no account and nothing to upload it to. Clearing your browser data deletes the draft, so use JSON backup to keep or move it.

Line amounts are quantity × unit price. Any discount is applied before tax and spread across the lines in proportion to their amounts. Tax is calculated on each line at the line's own rate and rounded half up to the smallest unit of GBP. Free, unlimited, unwatermarked: the document is yours, so the download always is too.
The guide
How to make a receipt for a payment
- Step 1
Switch the document kind to Receipt. The due-date field steps aside; the issue date is the date of payment.
- Step 2
Add the line items for what was paid, and put the full amount into “amount already paid” — the balance reads zero when the receipt is whole.
- Step 3
Download the PDF and send it, or keep it for your records.
A receipt is an invoice's afterword: what was provided, what was paid, and when. CapyInvoice's receipt drops the due date, leads with the payment, and shows the balance — which reads zero when the receipt is whole, or the remainder when it is a deposit.
Amounts use the same integer arithmetic as every other document the tool prints, in any ISO 4217 currency, so a receipt in yen has no decimal point and one in Kuwaiti dinar carries three places.
Receipts are kept as a draft in this browser like everything else, and the JSON backup moves them between devices.
Questions
Can a receipt show a part payment?
Yes. Enter what has been paid and the balance line shows what remains; a fully paid receipt reads zero.
Is this suitable for a formal tax invoice?
It prints what you type — amounts, tax, dates and parties — and many businesses use it for exactly that. Whether it satisfies your tax authority's extra rules (sequential numbering, registration numbers) is yours to check; the tool does not claim compliance with any of them.
Does it cost anything?
No. Receipts, like every export here, are free, unlimited and unwatermarked, and the tool runs entirely in your browser.
